Coca-Cola supports sustainable progress at MEP Awards 2018

Coca-Cola was proud to continue its support of international development at the MEP Awards 2018, organized by Parliament Magazine, that recognizes the work and achievements of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) across a range of critical areas that support economic and social progress.

The Development Award was this year received by Doru-Claudian Frunzulică, who has made a significant contribution to the Parliament’s Committee on Development (DEVE) since becoming a member in 2014, and who has played a critical role in helping address the root cause of the migration crisis.

During the event, we were also proud to celebrate the achievements and successes of the 2.4 million women who have participated in our 5by20 economic enablement program to date.  The initiative that was first introduced in 2010 aims to economically empower 5 million women by 2020, and through valued collaboration with international and local program partners across the golden triangle of government, private sector and civil society has allowed us to transform the lives of women in 75 countries around the world.
